Hydrexia, a global hydrogen technology solution provider based in Singapore, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Yamato H2Energy Japan (YamatoH2E) to collaborate in tapping into Japan's hydrogen market. The agreement, announced at the Smart Energy Week 2025 - H2 & FC EXPO in Tokyo, outlines the joint efforts to develop hydrogen storage, transport, and refueling station equipment tailored for the local market. Hydrexia will contribute its advanced magnesium-based solid-state and hydrogen refueling station technologies, while YamatoH2E will integrate these technologies as a system integrator and channel partner. Additionally, YamatoH2E will handle the sales and marketing of the jointly developed products in Japan.
To comply with local requirements, both companies will work on localizing aspects of Hydrexia's technologies, such as product engineering design and heating systems, to align with Japan's market needs. The Chairman of Hydrexia, Alex Fang, expressed confidence in the collaboration with YamatoH2E and the potential of their technology solutions in the Japanese market.
