Hyosung Heavy Industries Corp. in South Korea has partnered with Korea South-East Power Co. to promote hydrogen engine power generation. Through the memorandum of understanding signed at the Changwon plant, the companies aim to strengthen competitiveness and explore business expansion opportunities in the hydrogen power generation field. They plan to work on hydrogen combustion engine-based power generation projects and clean hydrogen production demonstrations. Hyosung has already made strides in this area, becoming the first company to commercialize a 1MW hydrogen engine generator in Ulsan. Hydrogen engine generators offer stable electricity without carbon emissions, making them attractive as a clean energy source. The companies believe that hydrogen power generation is crucial for reducing carbon emissions and establishing a stable power grid. Hyosung Heavy Industries' CEO emphasized the importance of hydrogen power generation and pledged to pioneer the market with their technological expertise.
