Hyosung Heavy Industries Corp. in South Korea has partnered with Korea South-East Power Co. to promote hydrogen engine power generation. Through the memorandum of understanding signed at the Changwon plant, the companies aim to strengthen competitiveness and explore business expansion opportunities in the hydrogen power generation field. They plan to work on hydrogen combustion engine-based power generation projects and clean hydrogen production demonstrations. Hyosung has already made strides in this area, becoming the first company to commercialize a 1MW hydrogen engine generator in Ulsan.
