Hyzon, a U.S.-based hydrogen fuel cell system manufacturer and technology developer, announced a significant milestone with the Start of Production (SOP) of its Class 8 200kW Fuel Cell Electric Truck (FCET) in collaboration with Fontaine Modification. This development marks a new chapter in providing zero-emission alternatives to diesel for heavy-duty industries. The 200kW FCET features a single stack fuel cell system that is lighter, smaller, and more cost-efficient, making it a powerful vehicle that meets the operational demands of heavy-duty road transport. The company's Bolingbrook facility, one of the largest fuel cell systems production facilities in the U.S., will now transition to series production, with plans to achieve ISO 9001 certification by Q4 2024.
