Colorado-based energy company NovoHydrogen is set to establish a hydrogen production facility at the Ash Grove Cement plant near Durkee, Oregon. This ambitious project, funded by the 2021 federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Act, aims to commence hydrogen fuel production by 2028. CEO and founder Matt McMonagle envisions the produced hydrogen being stored at the plant for various applications, from fueling trucks and vehicles on-site to potentially powering the plant itself. The initiative also aligns with efforts to create a more sustainable and low-carbon future, with plans to utilize hydrogen as an alternative to traditional fossil fuels. Additionally, the construction of the plant is expected to generate 50 jobs, providing a boost to local employment and the economy.
