Omega Seiki Mobility, a company specializing in electric vehicles, has announced its plans to venture into producing hydrogen-powered three-wheelers in India by the end of the current financial year. The Chairman of OSM, Uday Narang, revealed that the company has teamed up with Hydrogen Intelligence to develop these vehicles, which have already showcased their capability by covering 700 km using a two kg hydrogen cylinder. This initiative aims to address India's transportation needs by introducing the world's first Hydrogen-powered Three Wheelers. The company intends to conduct pilot projects with 50-100 vehicles in various states before expanding production. With a focus on sustainability, Omega Seiki Mobility emphasizes the efficiency of hydrogen as an energy source, with just €30 of hydrogen enabling the three-wheelers to travel over 700 km after a 5-minute recharge. The manufacturing process will initially utilize existing facilities in Faridabad, with plans to establish a new plant near Chennai to facilitate exports. The company's expansion strategy includes launching in states like Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.
