IGI Poseidon has teamed up with Corinth Pipeworks to conduct trials on the use of carbon-steel X70 linepipes for transporting hydrogen at high pressures ranging from 200 to 300 bar. The collaborative effort between Greece's DEPA and Italy's Edison is expected to showcase the preliminary findings of the project by 2025. Additionally, Axpo has commenced the establishment of a green hydrogen production facility in Switzerland, with operations set to commence in 2026. The plant aims to supply hydrogen for maritime vessels and various other applications. These initiatives highlight significant progress in advancing the infrastructure required for hydrogen utilization in Europe, emphasizing the commitment of key players towards sustainable energy solutions.
