AM Green and DP World's Collaboration to Propel India as a Green Molecules Hub
Key Ideas
  • AM Green and DP World partner to export 2 MTPA of green fuels, positioning India as a leader in global decarbonization efforts.
  • The collaboration includes developing logistics and storage infrastructure for green ammonia and methanol export, enhancing the global green supply chain.
  • AM Green's ambitious target is to reach 5 MTPA of production capacity by 2030 through projects using renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and hydroelectric power.
  • Both companies aim to play a pivotal role in enabling a low-carbon economy and advancing global sustainability goals through their strategic partnership.
AM Green, a leader in green hydrogen and ammonia production, has partnered with DP World, a global logistics leader, to establish India as a global hub for green molecules. The collaboration aims to export 2 MTPA of green fuels, positioning India at the forefront of global decarbonization efforts. Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the two companies will jointly develop logistics and storage infrastructure to facilitate the global export of green ammonia and methanol. AM Green is focused on using renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and hydroelectric power to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel, green ammonia, green hydrogen, chemicals, and biofuels. The company has set an ambitious target of reaching 5 MTPA of production capacity by 2030, contributing significantly to India's net-zero targets and global decarbonization goals. One of the key projects includes a 1 MTPA Green Ammonia plant in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The collaboration aims to enhance the global green supply chain by developing port and bunkering infrastructure across strategic locations. DP World, with its expertise in logistics and infrastructure, will play a crucial role in facilitating the global distribution of clean fuels and chemical products. The goal is to support the global shift towards a low-carbon economy and advance sustainability goals. AM Green's founders have a strong background in renewable energy, and the company is committed to producing green ammonia at scale across multiple locations in India. This initiative aligns with India's net-zero targets and supports OECD markets in their decarbonization efforts. Both AM Green and DP World aim to drive sustainable supply chains and create a positive impact on economies and societies by promoting clean energy and green technologies.
