Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated multiple projects in collaboration with AG&P Pratham - Think Gas in Tirupati, focusing on enhancing the supply of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) in Tirupati, Chittoor, and Nellore districts. The initiatives included launching Domestic and industrial Piped Natural Gas (PNG) supply, organizing a CNG vehicle rally for public awareness, establishing a City Gas Distribution (CGD) Skill Development Centre at Gajulamandyam, and laying the foundation stone for an LCNG station in Nellore. These efforts underscored the State's dedication to sustainable energy practices and its aim to play a leading role in the transition to a green economy. The Chief Minister highlighted Andhra Pradesh's natural gas production prowess, particularly from the Krishna-Godavari basin, which contributes significantly to India's natural gas output. He outlined the State's Green Energy Policy, envisioning massive investments and job creation by 2047, while stressing the importance of projects like CNG and PNG supply in the residential, industrial, and transport sectors for a more environmentally friendly economy. Naidu also emphasized the collaboration with Japan to drive the shift towards a net-zero economy. Moreover, he discussed Andhra Pradesh's potential in clean energy initiatives due to its strategic location with a long coastline, ports, highways, and airports. The State aims to become a global leader in green hydrogen production, solar and wind energy projects, and clean fuel exports by 2047. In a practical demonstration of its commitment to environmental goals, Naidu handed over CNG-powered vehicles for solid waste collection, aligning the State's objectives with tangible solutions. AG&P Pratham - Think Gas's MD and CEO, Abhilesh Gupta, expressed pride in the company's contributions to Andhra Pradesh's energy transition, with over 700 km of pipelines already laid, serving thousands of households and industrial clients. The company plans to invest over Rs 10,000 crore in the future, creating employment opportunities and furthering environmental sustainability. The collaboration between the State government and AG&P Pratham - Think Gas signifies a significant step towards advancing Andhra Pradesh's green energy infrastructure, reinforcing its commitment to a cleaner and more prosperous future.
