Andritz is set to deliver a 100MW electrolyser plant for a green hydrogen project at Rostock Port, Germany. The project is being led by Andritz on an engineering, procurement and construction basis. The plant will utilize pressurized alkaline technology for electrolysis. The project, known as HyTechHafen Rostock, is a significant step towards advancing the energy transition in Europe. The project order comes from Rostock EnergyPort cooperation (REPCO), a joint venture involving RWE Generation SE, EnBW Neue Energien, RheinEnergie, and Rostock Port. The scope of the project includes various components such as the electrolyser, hydrogen purification and compression systems, storage facilities, and a hydrogen filling station. Upon completion in 2027, the produced hydrogen will be transported through Germany's Hydrogen Core Network pipeline. The project is seen as crucial for Rostock, solidifying its role as a key energy transportation hub. Andritz's Executive Vice-President of green hydrogen highlighted the importance of collaboration in achieving green transition. This project marks Andritz's second 100MW plant order in Germany, underscoring the joint efforts of major energy companies and local supporters to drive progress in renewable energy.
