Gyeongsangbuk-do in South Korea is striving to establish itself as a high-tech energy industry hub by implementing a 'Gyeongbuk-type energy conversion.' This initiative focuses on fostering clean energy sectors such as hydrogen and wind power to attract corporate investments. The province aims to increase the use of nuclear electricity, particularly for hydrogen production, following the Power Network Expansion Act. Plans include proposing the designation of the 'Shin Ga-pyeong' area as a national power grid facility. Additionally, Gyeongsangbuk-do plans to enhance power grid facilities in strategic industrial complexes like Pohang and Gumi to support industries like secondary batteries and semiconductors.
