Chinese manufacturer Hangcha New Energy Forklift has entered a partnership with Beijing Nowogen Technology to work on a significant project involving the development of a 25T solid-state hydrogen-powered forklift in Tianjin, China. The collaboration aims to integrate technology, research, and development to create a competitive hydrogen fuel cell forklift. Hangcha New Energy has a successful track record with over 300 hydrogen fuel cell forklifts and plans to start production of the new forklifts in the first half of 2025. The company will initially target the domestic Chinese market, especially the port and logistics sectors showing high demand for heavy-duty forklifts, while also eyeing international opportunities. The strategic partnership between Hangcha Group and Beijing Nowogen Technology is expected to bring transformative change to the heavy-duty forklift industry by promoting greener and more efficient solutions.
