Olin Corporation and Plug Power Inc. have announced the commissioning of a 15 metric-ton-per-day (TPD) hydrogen liquefaction plant in St. Gabriel, Louisiana. This facility, operated by the joint venture Hidrogenii, is one of the largest electrolytic hydrogen liquefaction facilities in North America and plays a crucial role in strengthening the regional hydrogen supply chain. The plant aims to facilitate the U.S. transition to low-carbon energy by liquefying hydrogen produced by Olin for trailer shipments across the country, particularly serving Plug's material handling customers and utilizing their innovative spot pricing market.
