(MGC), Methanol Reformer S.L., and Element 1 Corp. have joined forces in a strategic collaboration to advance hydrogen production through innovative methanol reforming technology. By signing a Memorandum of Understanding, the three companies aim to jointly develop and commercialize Methanol-to-Hydrogen generators to boost hydrogen availability and sustainability. Each partner will leverage its expertise to accelerate the design, manufacturing, and commercialization of modular and mass-producible hydrogen generation units. Mitsubishi Gas Chemical will supply methanol feedstock, including circular carbon methanol, Methanol Reformer S.L. will oversee manufacturing, and Element 1 Corp. will contribute its proficiency in methanol steam reforming and hydrogen purification. The collaboration targets regions facing challenges in accessing cost-effective hydrogen, offering a solution through Methanol-to-Hydrogen generators. The use of circular carbon methanol is a key aspect to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support global sustainability initiatives.
