Hyundai has unveiled the second-generation Nexo FCEV SUV at the Seoul motor show, confirming its availability for the Australian market. The new Nexo boasts a targeted range of over 700km from a five-minute refuel, powered by a 2.64kWh battery and a hydrogen fuel-cell stack producing 110kW. The enhanced electric motor delivers 150kW, resulting in a total system power output of 190kW. Improvements in performance show that the Nexo can now achieve the 0-100km/h sprint in 7.8 seconds. The vehicle features a Smart Regenerative System and an FCEV Route Planner, enhancing its efficiency and practicality. The Nexo's design language incorporates FCEV-specific cues and advanced technology, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and touchscreen with connected car features. Hyundai has emphasized safety with a range of features like lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and autonomous emergency braking.
