Toyota New Zealand has made a significant step in its hydrogen journey by leasing its first Toyota Mirai fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) to Coregas NZ. This move highlights the increasing interest in hydrogen technology in the country. In alignment with this, Coregas NZ, in partnership with Halcyon, launched a hydrogen express refueller at Wiri in South Auckland, further bolstering the hydrogen infrastructure in the region. Additionally, BMW has announced its intentions to introduce its first series production FCEV in 2028, with a collaboration with Toyota Motor Corporation. This partnership signifies a joint effort towards advancing hydrogen technology in the automotive sector.
