Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh will be established as a major green hydrogen production hub, contributing towards economic growth, urbanization, and job creation in the region. He laid foundation stones for multiple projects, including a Bulk Drug Park in Nakkapalli and a green hydrogen hub in Anakapalli, with a collective investment exceeding Rs 2 lakh crore. The green hydrogen hub is a collaborative effort between NTPC Green Energy Ltd and the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh, with the aim of fostering a manufacturing ecosystem in the state. PM Modi emphasized the potential of Andhra Pradesh for development, citing initiatives like Swarna Andhra-2047 and commending CM N Chandrababu Naidu's dedication to progress. The projects are expected to create employment opportunities, boost infrastructure development, and propel the state towards becoming an economic powerhouse by 2047.
