Gavin Williamson, a Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom, visited Rodbaston College to explore its state-of-the-art learning facilities. The visit commenced at the Net Zero Energy Training Centre, funded by the Getting Building Fund, which aims to support the government's 'net zero' commitment by preparing the local workforce for carbon-free technologies such as hydrogen boilers. The Centre boasts advanced energy efficiency features like photovoltaic panels, electric vehicle charging, and heat pump installations. Following this, Williamson toured the T Level teaching facility, recently funded by a government bid, to interact with students enrolled in the animal care T Level program. The Chief Executive Principal, Claire Boliver, expressed gratitude for the visit, highlighting the college's dedication to providing students with the necessary skills for successful careers. The emphasis on industry-standard facilities aims to facilitate a seamless transition for students into the workforce post-education.
