Energiequelle GmbH, in collaboration with HY.City.Bremerhaven, recently inaugurated the first hydrogen filling station in Bremerhaven, Germany. The event was graced by the presence of outgoing Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who marked the opening with other key figures. The hydrogen produced at the station is renewable and sourced locally, emphasizing sustainability. This initiative is part of the HY.City.Bremerhaven project, aimed at creating a green hydrogen ecosystem in the region. BremerhavenBus GmbH, also a shareholder in the project, will fuel its hydrogen-powered buses at the station, promoting eco-friendly transportation. The project underscores the importance of hydrogen in the energy system, providing valuable insights for future renewable energy projects. Funded by the Federal Ministry, the initiative is aligned with the HyLand program to foster green hydrogen infrastructure.
