Paju City in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, has embarked on a significant initiative towards clean energy with the establishment of the 'Mini Hydrogen City Creation Project'. This project, which involves a partnership between Paju City, Hyundai Motor Co., and the Advanced Technology Research Institute, aims to lay the foundation for hydrogen production and supply while fostering industries related to this sustainable energy source. The agreement signed on the 15th outlines plans for technical and financial support to drive the project forward. A pivotal aspect of this endeavor is the construction of a facility in Bongam-ri, Paju-eup, capable of producing 500 kilograms of hydrogen per day by March 2027. Paju Mayor Kim Kyung-il is optimistic about the project's success, highlighting the synergy between Hyundai Motor's expertise, the cutting-edge technology of the research institute, and the proactive governance of Paju City.
