The Adani Group has announced a monumental pledge of Rs 4,05,800 crore towards investment in renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, and Green Hydrogen at the 4th Global Renewable Energy Investors Meet & Expo (RE-INVEST) 2024 held in New Delhi. The group's firms, Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) and Adani New Industries Ltd (ANIL), have committed to significant investments in renewable projects to be completed by 2030. Adani Green Energy, known as India's largest renewable energy company, has set a target of achieving 50 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, while currently operating at 11.2 GW capacity. On the other hand, Adani New Industries plans to establish a solar manufacturing plant with 10 GW capacity, a wind manufacturing plant with 5 GW capacity, and focus on Green Hydrogen production with 10 GW capacity. The investment also includes plans for Green Hydrogen output of 0.5 MMTPA, Green Ammonia production of 2.8 MMTPA, and electrolyser manufacturing with 5 GW capacity. This massive investment is anticipated to generate employment opportunities for 71,100 individuals. With a strong emphasis on sustainability and green technologies, Adani Group's commitment signifies a positive step towards advancing renewable energy and promoting a more environmentally friendly future in India.
