Egypt is focusing on attracting foreign investments to boost its real GDP growth and create more job opportunities, with a particular emphasis on becoming a regional hub in sectors like renewable energy. During a visit, ElKhatib participated in commercial events organized by the British Egyptian Business Association, aiming to foster cooperation with British companies. British firm Globeleq expressed intentions to increase investments in wind power generation, desalination plants, and smart transport projects using clean energy in Egypt. Additionally, Pash Global and GSK are looking to expand their investments in solar energy and the pharmaceutical sector, respectively. Egypt's efforts include establishing the National Council for Green Hydrogen and launching the National Strategy for Green Hydrogen to increase renewable energy sources and green hydrogen production in the country. These initiatives align with the government's strategy to attract foreign direct investments and enhance cooperation with international companies to boost economic development and improve the quality of life.
