The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy in India successfully organized the 4th edition of the Global Renewable Energy Investors' Meet and Expo (RE-INVEST 2024) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. A CEO Roundtable on 'Accelerating Green Hydrogen Production through Green Jobs in Gujarat' highlighted the state's commitment to the National Green Hydrogen Mission. Gujarat, with its renewable energy potential, aims to produce 3 MMTPA of Green Hydrogen and lead in the sector. The roundtable facilitated discussions on economic viability, pricing factors, and innovative technologies with industry leaders and startups like ReNew, Hygenco, Goenka Group, KPMG, Newtrace, and Ossus Biorenewables. Gujarat's strength in renewable energy was showcased with over 29 GW of current capacity and plans to reach 100 GW by 2030, focusing on offshore wind and energy storage projects. The state aims to contribute significantly to India's green hydrogen goals and create new job opportunities in the renewable energy sector, demonstrating its leadership in clean energy solutions and sustainability.
