Air Liquide has announced a significant partnership with TotalEnergies for a renewable hydrogen production project in La Mède, France. The project aims to address the decarbonization of TotalEnergie's biorefinery by utilizing renewable hydrogen from biogenic by-products, hence reducing CO2 emissions by around 130,000 tonnes per year. The new hydrogen production unit, with a capacity of 25,000 tonnes per year, will be operational by 2028 and represents an investment of over 80 million euros.
