The Federal Government of Nigeria, under President Bola Tinubu's administration, has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting hydrogen as a clean energy source with the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and stimulate economic growth. Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Gas), Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, and Amb. Nicholas Ella highlighted the importance of clean energy development in Nigeria. The country is set to host an inaugural international hydrogen conference in Abuja with the theme 'Building a Hydrogen Economy for Nigeria' from November 26 to November 28, 2024. The event, organized in collaboration with FOSSREA, aims to attract investments, promote hydrogen technology, and create jobs. It will feature discussions on various aspects of hydrogen production, investment opportunities, policy frameworks, and infrastructure development. The conference is expected to bring together a diverse audience, including policymakers, industry leaders, and investors, to drive sustainable energy initiatives in Nigeria.
