The 4th global Renewable Energy Investors Meet & Expo (RE-Invest) 2024 kicked off in Gandhinagar, India, with a focus on promoting renewable energy and accelerating the clean energy sector. This marks the first time the event is being held outside the national capital and is attended by over 10,000 delegates, including policymakers and industry representatives. Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the need for India to invest Rs 30 lakh crore to achieve its target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030 to advance its climate goals. The event featured partner countries like Australia, Denmark, Germany, and Norway, as well as partner states and high-level delegations from various countries. Discussions at the conference encompassed themes such as green hydrogen, wind energy, bioenergy, and more, showcasing the importance of sustainable energy solutions for the future.
