A new liquid hydrogen refuelling station has been launched at Metrobus' depot in Crawley, UK, marking a significant step towards sustainable transport. The station aims to support one of the largest hydrogen bus fleets in the UK, with the ability to fuel up to 54 buses in the future. The transition from gaseous to liquid hydrogen has already improved operational efficiency, allowing quicker refuelling times and enabling buses to cover longer distances. This initiative is part of Metrobus' commitment to decarbonise local public transport and reduce emissions, contributing to the fight against climate change. Despite the positive developments, regulatory hurdles need to be addressed to fully maximize the station's capacity.
