Lhyfe, a green hydrogen producer, has entered into a binding agreement with H2 MOBILITY Deutschland, a refueling station developer in Germany, to supply green hydrogen for its fuel stations. The hydrogen will be sourced from Lhyfe's forthcoming production facility in Schwäbisch Gmünd, which is set to be the largest green hydrogen production plant in Baden-Württemberg. The agreement, spanning five years, will involve the delivery of renewable hydrogen produced from renewable power sources for the transport sector. Initially, the hydrogen will be used at four fuel stations operated by H2 MOBILITY Deutschland in Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate. The companies aim to expand the use of green hydrogen across the entire H2 MOBILITY Deutschland network by 2028. Lhyfe, established in 2017, focuses on green and renewable hydrogen production through water electrolysis powered by renewable energy. The company, with sites operational and under construction in Europe, including Schwäbisch Gmünd, plans to be a key player in the green hydrogen market for mobility and industry in Germany by 2025. The collaboration between Lhyfe and H2 MOBILITY Deutschland underscores their commitment to decarbonization and zero-carbon transport, highlighting the pivotal role of green hydrogen in fostering environmental sustainability.
