Nikola Corporation, in partnership with ITD Industries, has unveiled the first commercial hydrogen refueling station in Ontario, Canada. The station, located at ITD Industries' headquarters in Etobicoke, marks a pivotal moment in the expansion of hydrogen infrastructure within the heavy-duty transportation sector. Notable figures such as Ontario Premier Doug Ford and industry leaders from companies like Walmart Canada and Canadian Tire were present at the launch event, emphasizing the importance of transitioning towards a sustainable, carbon-free future. The station utilizes a 700-bar pressure-fill system to provide hydrogen fuel for long-range vehicles, specifically the Nikola hydrogen fuel cell electric Class 8 truck.
