Gensol Engineering Limited, a renewable energy firm based in Ahmedabad, India, in partnership with Matrix Gas & Renewables Ltd., has secured a bid for 237 MW of annual capacity under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme to set up an electrolyser manufacturing plant. This achievement, awarded by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), adds to their previous 63 MW capacity, making their total capacity 300 MW and qualifying them for a ₹450 crore incentive. Anmol Jaggi, the Managing Director of Gensol Engineering Ltd., expressed satisfaction with this win under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, highlighting the company's dedication and expertise in the sector. The collaboration between Gensol and Matrix, both backed by common promoters, will extend to various green hydrogen-related ventures including Green Steel and Green Ammonia, leveraging the strengths of each entity. This win not only solidifies their position in the green hydrogen domain but also paves the way for further advancements and partnerships in the renewable energy industry.
