Aslan Energy Capital has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CalYan XGH Inc. to supply 100,000 tonnes per annum of sustainable hydrogen from Sonora, Mexico to California. The agreement is a significant development for clean energy, as it marks progress in the Aslan Net-Zero Energy Mexico (ANEM) Project, which aims to produce green hydrogen and ammonia using renewable energy sources. The ANEM project, situated in Caborca, Sonora, will utilize solar power to operate electrolyzers for green hydrogen production, aligning with Mexico's environmental objectives. The partnership between Aslan and CalYan seeks to establish a reliable clean hydrogen supply chain, with Aslan managing delivery to the Southern California border and CalYan overseeing distribution within California. This collaboration not only promotes sustainable hydrogen production but also contributes to the global transition towards clean energy. With operations set to begin by 2028, the project symbolizes a step forward in Mexico’s role in the clean energy market and strengthens cross-border clean energy trade between Mexico and California.
