The National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) has put out a call for proposals to develop testing facilities, infrastructure, and standards under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The objective is to establish state-of-the-art testing facilities for components involved in green hydrogen production, storage, and utilization. Government and private entities can apply for Central Financial Assistance (CFA) from NISE, with government entities eligible for higher funding percentages. The program aims to enhance testing capabilities, ensure quality assessment, and strengthen green hydrogen testing infrastructure nationwide. Entities must adhere to strict guidelines, including the exclusive use of grants for designated projects. A non-refundable processing fee is required for financial assistance applications. Facilities need to be operational within specified timeframes, with penalties for delays. Oversight of the program will be conducted by a Steering Committee and a Project Appraisal Committee appointed by MNRE to monitor project progress and recommend fund allocation. MNRE has also issued guidelines for funding testing facilities and implementing a regulatory framework for green hydrogen. Incentive disbursement guidelines have been provided for green hydrogen production as part of the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition program. The emphasis on developing testing facilities and infrastructure underscores the government's commitment to promoting green hydrogen and establishing quality standards in the sector.
