In Brisbane, Australia, Lion Energy has announced a $10 million partnership with Mitsubishi subsidiary DGA Energy Solutions Australia and Samsung C&T Corporation to establish a green hydrogen production project at The Port of Brisbane. This development is seen as a significant step towards creating a sustainable future for transportation in the region. The project, based on a 'hub and spoke' model, aims to produce more than 300 tonnes of green hydrogen per year and facilitate the refuelling of Brisbane's upcoming bus fleet. Lion Energy's Executive Chairman, Tom Soulsby, expressed confidence in the potential of green hydrogen in Australia and the company's ability to drive this initiative forward. The partnership involves DGA and Samsung financing pre-construction costs and initiating debt financing for construction. Lion Energy will own half of the project, while the partners will collectively own the remaining shares.
