Constellation Resources Collaborates with CSIRO on Natural Hydrogen and Helium Projects in Western Australia
Key Ideas
  • Constellation Resources Ltd and CSIRO have entered a research agreement to advance studies on natural hydrogen and helium in Western Australia.
  • The collaboration aims to identify gas seepages at surface, support soil gas sampling programs, and create prospectivity models for exploration.
  • The Kick-Start Program will involve two modules focusing on data collection, analysis, and well targeting throughout 2025.
  • Constellation will co-fund the project, with a $95,000 contribution, to enhance the understanding of natural hydrogen and helium potential in the region.
Constellation Resources Ltd (ASX:CR1) has partnered with the CSIRO to conduct research on natural hydrogen and helium at its Edmund Collier and Yerrida projects in Western Australia. The collaboration, partly funded by the CSIRO's Kick-Start Program, will initially concentrate on identifying gas seepages at the surface within Constellation's project areas. The study aims to support upcoming soil gas sampling programs and develop prospectivity models for natural hydrogen and helium. Constellation's technical team will work alongside the CSIRO to enhance understanding and map potential areas of interest. The project, split between two modules, will involve data collection, analysis, and the creation of prospectivity maps to guide future exploration programs. Through a funding split, Constellation will contribute $95,000 towards the project, emphasizing the importance of advancing research in natural hydrogen and helium projects in the region.
