Essar Energy Transition (EET) Hydrogen has signed an EPC contract with ENKA for the construction of a low carbon hydrogen production plant (HPP1) at the Stanlow Manufacturing Complex in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, UK. This project, supported by UK government funding, aims to be the first large-scale low carbon hydrogen initiative in the UK, situated within the HyNet Cluster. The plant is expected to have a production capacity of 350 MW and will be capable of capturing approximately 600,000 tonnes of CO2 per year, which is equivalent to removing around 250,000 cars from the road annually.
The CEO of EET Hydrogen, Joe Seifert, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with ENKA, highlighting the latter's extensive experience in delivering complex projects.
