During his visit to India, Minister Hassan El-Khatib met with Ranjit Gupta, Founder and CEO of OCIOR Energy, to discuss enhancing cooperation in clean energy and sustainable investments in Egypt. El-Khatib praised the current collaboration between OCIOR Energy and the Egyptian government, highlighting Egypt's attractiveness for investments in renewable energy and green hydrogen projects. Emphasizing the government's commitment to supporting foreign direct investments in green hydrogen and renewable energy sectors, El-Khatib aims to strengthen Egypt's position as a regional hub for clean energy. Gupta expressed appreciation for the partnership with Egypt, indicating OCIOR Energy's intention to increase investments in the country. OCIOR Energy, a global leader in green hydrogen and green ammonia projects, sees Egypt as an ideal location for its sustainable energy initiatives. The company previously signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Egyptian government to establish a $4.2 billion investment project in the Suez Canal Economic Zone for green ammonia production from green hydrogen, emphasizing its commitment to environmental sustainability and clean energy transition.
