Exxon Mobil Corporation has entered into a major agreement with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), where ADNOC will acquire a 35% equity stake in Exxon Mobil's upcoming low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia production facility in Baytown, Texas. This move highlights a substantial investment in U.S. energy production and the global energy transition. The facility, once operational, is set to be the world's largest of its kind, subject to government policies and regulatory approvals. It is designed to generate up to 1 billion cubic feet of low-carbon hydrogen daily, with an impressive 98% reduction in CO2, in addition to producing over 1 million tons of low-carbon ammonia annually.
