Glacier Energy, based in Aberdeen, has acquired the Teesside fabrication business, Francis Brown, to enhance its hydrogen storage and distribution offerings. This acquisition, part of Glacier's strategy to double in size by 2028, expands the group's headcount to over 300. Francis Brown, with its expertise in manufacturing pressure vessels and structural fabrications for sectors like oil and gas, nuclear, and renewable energy, aligns well with Glacier's plans for growth. Following the acquisition, Glacier will operate a larger manufacturing division across Stockton-on-Tees and Rotherham to support sustainable energy projects.
