The Gyeonggi Provincial Government in South Korea announced an expansion of its 'Mini Hydrogen City Creation Project' by recruiting additional cities and counties to participate in creating a self-sufficient city powered by eco-friendly hydrogen energy. This project is part of the province's commitment to 'Creating a Hydrogen Convergence Cluster.' The selected city will receive funding from the province, totaling less than 50% of the project cost over three years. Previously, Paju City was chosen in the first recruitment round, and now one more city and county will be selected. Interested cities and counties are required to collaborate with public institutions and private companies to develop a business plan aligned with their regional characteristics. Bonus points will be awarded to proposals emphasizing the production of clean hydrogen and utilizing existing hydrogen infrastructure.
