Hero Future Energies Private Limited (HFEPL) has pledged to invest Rs 11,000 crore in Renewable Energy, Green Hydrogen, and its derivatives in Karnataka as part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Government of Karnataka. This investment, spread over two to three years starting in 2025-26, aims to create around 3,000 jobs in the state. HFEPL's leadership emphasized the need for bold steps towards the next generation of energy amidst environmental challenges. Leveraging their expertise in green hydrogen, the company plans to lead India's transition to a significant exporter of clean energy. The signing ceremony, attended by Karnataka's Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, marked the state's commitment to facilitating these projects under existing policies. The collaboration not only enhances Karnataka's appeal as an investment destination but also highlights the state's dedication to promoting sustainable industrial development. This initiative aligns with Karnataka's preparations for the Global Investors Meet, signaling a move towards a competitive and digitally advanced industrial ecosystem.
