Hyundai Motor Company and Škoda Group have recently entered into a partnership to advance hydrogen mobility and energy-efficient solutions. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was sealed during the Korea-Czech Republic Business Summit in Prague. The collaboration will involve Škoda Group exploring hydrogen mobility expansion by utilizing Hyundai's hydrogen fuel cell systems and technologies. The two companies will work on studying the adoption of hydrogen fuel cell systems and technologies for mobility projects and products, while also examining opportunities in the hydrogen ecosystem beyond mobility. Feasibility studies for fuel cell system applications beyond mobility will also be carried out. Both Hyundai and Škoda share the vision that hydrogen will be crucial for a sustainable society, particularly in the realm of mobility. The partnership aims to accelerate hydrogen adoption, promote hydrogen technology advancement, and contribute to carbon neutrality globally. Hyundai's executive vice president emphasized the goal of leading in the growing hydrogen sector by leveraging fuel cell technology. Škoda Group's CEO highlighted the importance of hydrogen and energy-efficient solutions in shaping a sustainable future for mobility and expressed the desire to explore broader markets through the collaboration. The joint effort is expected to bring innovative and eco-friendly solutions to the global mobility ecosystem, focusing on cleaner energy where it is most needed.
