During the 4th Antalya Diplomatic Forum, Kazakhstan's Minister of Transport, Marat Karabayev, highlighted the remarkable growth of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, known as the Middle Corridor. The volume of goods transported through the corridor has surged from 800,000 tons in 2021 to 2.5 million tons in 2024, with ambitious targets of 10 million tons by 2027 and 15 million tons by 2030. Karabayev also introduced new initiatives to enhance the corridor's capacity and role beyond transportation. These include fiber optic cable projects for digital connectivity, a renewable energy export collaboration with Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, and a €50 billion hydrogen production initiative aiming to produce 2 million tons of hydrogen and 40 GW of electricity by 2030.
