Linear generator manufacturer Mainspring Energy has announced a partnership with modeling software platform Xendee to enhance the development and economics of microgrid and electric vehicle (EV) charging projects. The collaboration will leverage Xendee's expertise in optimizing project development and economics by incorporating Mainspring's fuel-flexible linear generators, capable of operating on gas, ammonia, hydrogen, and biogas. Schneider Electric, a smart grid infrastructure firm, plans to integrate Mainspring's generator into its EcoStruxure Microgrid solution. Xendee and Endeavor Business Media have released a report on how distributed energy resources (DERs) and microgrids can support the EV charging movement, particularly addressing concerns about charging availability. The report, '2024 Market Survey: Commercial EV Charging,' focuses on offering alternatives for fleet electrification needs and is a continuation of Xendee's previous 2023 report. This collaboration signifies a positive step towards promoting sustainable energy solutions and advancing the adoption of EV charging infrastructure.
