The Indian government has launched five pilot projects under the National Green Hydrogen Mission to trial hydrogen-based vehicles in the transportation sector. These projects involve deploying 37 vehicles, including buses and trucks, from major companies like TATA Motors, Reliance Industries, and others. Supported by Rs 208 crore in funding, the projects aim to develop commercially viable hydrogen fuel technologies, including 9 hydrogen refuelling stations, with an expected commissioning timeline of 18-24 months.
