State energy company PT Pertamina is actively collaborating with global strategic partners to encourage energy transition towards environmentally friendly green energy. In a recent development, Pertamina has partnered with Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific HQ to develop a hydrogen ecosystem in Indonesia. This collaboration, as stated by Pertamina's Director of Strategy, Portfolio and Business Development, Salyadi Dariah Saputra, aligns with efforts to accelerate energy transition and support the government's goal of achieving Net Zero Emission by 2060. Pertamina has already identified 17 locations in Indonesia for hydrogen supply and is currently working on a green hydrogen project in Lampung province with a daily production target of 100 kg. Additionally, Pertamina is venturing into the downstream sector with a pilot project of a Hydrogen Fuel Filling Station in Jakarta, aiming to offer multiple types of fuel in one station, including hydrogen. This initiative is part of Pertamina's commitment to support the 2060 Net Zero Emission target and promote Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in line with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) principles. The collaboration with Hyundai aims to advance the use of hydrogen in Indonesia's transportation sector, contributing to a sustainable future and energy transition in the region.
