Tosyalı, a global green steel producer, is embarking on a new venture in Libya by initiating the construction of the world's largest iron steel plant in Benghazi. The Chairman of Tosyalı Holding emphasized the importance of expanding investments in Africa and focusing on value-added steel production to create economic, environmental, and social benefits in the region. The agreement between Tosyalı and Libya United Steel Company will lead to the establishment of Tosyalı-SULB in Benghazi, marking a significant step towards industrialization and steel sector development in Libya. The project includes building DRI plants with a total capacity of 8.1 million tons, incorporating hydrogen-operating technology for green steel production. This investment not only positions Libya as a key player in global steel production but also enhances Tosyalı's standing as a global green steel producer.
