BP, in partnership with Masdar, Hassan Allam Utilities, and Infinity Power, has entered a Joint Development Agreement to explore a green hydrogen project in Egypt. The consortium will combine their gH2 projects to develop a large-scale project focusing on green hydrogen and its derivatives for exports. The partners have signed a Framework Agreement with the Egyptian government to conduct feasibility studies for the project. The agreement was signed at the Egypt-EU Investment Conference in the presence of key government officials. The partnership aims to support Egypt's energy transition plans and leverage the partners' expertise in energy projects for regional cooperation and global market access. The consortium sees BP's involvement as crucial in advancing the green hydrogen sector in Egypt and contributing to a cleaner energy future. The project not only aims to benefit Egypt but also to drive economic opportunities and promote sustainability internationally.
