Jericho Energy Ventures Inc., through its subsidiary Hydrogen Technologies, has received USD$1 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Energy's Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office for the Hydrogen Permitting Issues and Improvements (HPII) project in California. The project, developed in collaboration with Sandia National Laboratories, GHD, and the University of California at Riverside, aims to facilitate the deployment of hydrogen-powered equipment in locations where hydrogen usage is less common, such as manufacturing facilities and district heating systems. The focus is on addressing both technological and administrative barriers to permitting hydrogen projects, while emphasizing safety and risk analysis. Jericho Energy Ventures sees this project as a significant step towards accelerating access to collaborations and partnerships in the realm of lower emissions industrial and commercial solutions. CEO Brian Williamson highlighted the company's commitment to providing innovative hydrogen solutions and recognized its role as a trusted partner in the industry. Currently, Hydrogen Technologies is engaged in feasibility studies with multi-national corporations and universities to explore the application of its zero-emission hydrogen boiler technology, with ongoing efforts to deploy this technology at a university in the Western U.S. to provide decarbonized district heat for its campus.
