NTPC Group, India's largest integrated power utility, achieved a remarkable milestone by generating 400 billion units of power in the financial year 2024-25, setting a record as the fastest-ever 400 BU generation in just 335 days. This surpasses its previous achievement, reaching the mark 12 days earlier than the previous financial year. NTPC's contribution to India's power supply stands at nearly one-fourth, supported by an installed capacity of over 77 GW with an additional 29.5 GW under construction, including 9.6 GW from renewable sources. The company is dedicated to expanding its renewable energy capacity to 60 GW by 2032, emphasizing its commitment to clean energy. NTPC operates a mix of thermal, hydro, solar, and wind power plants to ensure reliable and affordable electricity for the nation while also venturing into new sectors such as e-mobility, battery storage, waste-to-energy, nuclear power, and green hydrogen solutions.
