Indian green hydrogen and ammonia producer, AM Green, has selected Swiss industrial equipment supplier Casale as its technology partner for transforming two grey ammonia plants into a green ammonia complex in Kakinada, India. Casale will utilize its FLEXIGREEN suite of technologies to revamp the facilities and support sustainability. The project, located at Kakinada seaport, includes the production of 1,500 metric tons per day of carbon-free ammonia, with plans for green hydrogen production, nitrogen separation, ammonia synthesis, storage, and export infrastructure. Most of the produced ammonia is intended for the European market. The partnership also involves an EPsCM contract with Rely for project execution. AM Green's CEO highlighted the collaboration as a crucial step towards reducing energy dependence and fostering a decarbonized economy in India.
