Twenty-seven hydrogen projects have been shortlisted for the second Hydrogen Allocation Round (HAR2) in the UK to support the growth of the country's green hydrogen industry. The projects aim to receive funding and support over a 15-year period, targeting various applications such as ammonia production, clean power generation, and sustainable aviation fuel. Notable among the proposals is a green hydrogen production facility at the Grangemouth oil refinery. Previous successes from HAR1, like Whitelee Green Hydrogen in Scotland, demonstrate the potential for sustainable energy initiatives.
